unless by their naturalization they have ceased to be Chinese subjects. The same rule applies wit stile greater force to Chinine -

naturalized in the Colonies, Svice Colonial Naturalization only operates within the limits of

the Colony which

grants the naturalization.

With regard to Chisine who

are

British subjects by birtt, the can only claim Britiol Protection in China when they have compleit with the sagulations laid down in die R.
